Billy Bridger
Here’s a little of my background : I have been playing a solo show since 1991. It was a part-time occupation until I gave up a career in teaching in 1999 to follow my dream job full-time. I immediately began working for a very large cruise line, and found myself in New Orleans adding a Louis Armstrong vocal impression to my regular show. Later I donned a pair of Elton John glasses for another number, and my toy box began. From that time my show has slowly evolved into a multi-faceted entertainment package which includes music, comedy, and sometimes even magic. My wireless roaming ability while onstage has been very popular with audiences everywhere. I work hard to try to entertain, rather than just make noise. The visuals are just a funny effect for the underlying music which I hope you will recognize stands on its own.
Many people don’t realize that the background music is not a recording, but each track is performed with a electronic keyboard or guitar, then the sound is altered to a digital sample of whatever instrument it is trying to emulate. This takes countless hours of preparation beforehand. The material I cover can range dramatically to appeal to any age group of audience. My repertoire includes over 1000 songs!!
Although I have branched out from the Kingston area, I love getting back home every summer. Thanks to all who have supported me in the past, and in the future. I have seen this industry shrink every year, and I am one of only a few people I know making music 15 years ago who are still determined enough to continue on a full time basis.

In these past few years, I have played from Bangor, Maine to Las Vegas, Nevada. I am spending this winter again playing in Florida in the beautiful Naples/Marco Island area on the gulf side. By the end of 2007, I will have performed close to 300 shows this year!
